Evangelist Mrs. Lydia Ichame Idoko (JP)
CHILDHOOD: I knew Evangelist Mrs. Lydia Ichame Idoko (JP) from her tender age while in Primary School years back, very cheerful, and easy-going young lady. She relates easily with everyone. She was opportune to meet her God given husband early in life and were together moving from one state to another due to the nature of the Husband’s job as a Judge, but finally settled at Makurdi Benue State as Honourable Judge in the State Judiciary and later became the Chief Judge of Benue State.
CALL TO MINISTRY
Being a Committed Christian, little did she know that God was preparing her for a bigger task, when God finally decides to use her as a Vessel, though with mix feelings she did not yield to this call instantly but when she was sick and was unable to respond to medical treatment given by all the doctors in the hospital then, then she began to trace herself back and was asking God why she was not responding to treatment? it was then God opened her eyes to see the reason, and she yielded immediately to God’s invitation and got her Divine Healing from above and this gave birth to Faith Women Fellowship Ministry in the year 1986 at Makurdi, Benue State.
DOGGED COMMITMENT AND DEVOUTNESS
She is devout and committed to this Kingdom business and this took her to every Local Government of Benue state and Kogi State evangelizing and establishing the Fellowship. The Fellowship was enjoying God’s Divine Presence and Power, Miraculous testimonies for God’s faithfulness in all branches and new members were won because of Visible Evidence of God ‘s Faithfulness, trooped into the Fellowship ate very given opportunity.
WIDOWHOOD IN MINISTRY
The sudden death of the Husband, the Honourable Chief Judge of Benue State, Chief Justice Alhassan Idoko of blessed memory, brought in some bottlenecks but after her mourning period she bounced back, and the devil has no choice but to pack its loads and leave. It was a horrible experience but because God is the foundation of this Ministry it is still standing strong up till today, to God alone be the glory.
A WOMAN FAVOURED BY GOD
Who can battle with the Lord? God, despite all tribulations from close and external forces God still favoured her, she never lack any good things, God has been her provider and protector, we give God all the glory.
PERSISTENT IN FAITH
She is a Woman of strong faith, the Bible states, If your faith fail in times of adversities your strength is small, Prov. 24:10 so she stands firm no matter the pressure, consistent in faith and standing upright up till now. One thing I know about her is that “she never gives up no matter the heat of time”.
A ROLE MODEL TO EMULATE
She is a role model to her members alike and everyone that comes in contact with her will have much wisdom as the Bible states ” if you walk with the wise you will be wise”. She is also a good counselor.
She has written many Inspirational books which is also educative with everyone that comes in contact, Eg. Journey of faith, God makes the just laugh, prejudice is but a witchcraft. Among others.
My prayers for her is that ” God will continue to take her to a higher height in Jesus Name, and at the end of time she will wear the crowns that are prepared for her in heaven.
